WM, Republic, Stericycle Report Q2 Earnings

Houston -- Waste Management Inc. has reported earnings of $217 million for the second quarter of 2002, compared with earnings of $191 million for the same quarter last year, and revenues of $2.82 billion, compared with revenues of $2.92 billion for the same quarter last year.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. -- Republic Services Inc. has reported net income of $61 million for the second quarter of 2002, compared with net income of $58.1 million for the same quarter last year. Revenues were $598.2 million, compared with revenues of $576 million for the same quarter last year. And operating income was $116.3 million, compared with operating income of $111.8 million for the same quarter the previous year.

Lake Forest, Ill. -- Stericycle Inc. has reported revenues of $99.3 million for the second quarter of 2002, compared with revenues of $88.5 million for the same quarter last year. Net income was $11.5 million in 2002, compared with net income of $7.3 million for the same quarter last year.
