World's First "Green Bottle" Hits the Streets

Toledo, Ohio — Plastic Technologies Inc. (PTI), the first company to receive FDA approval for manufacturing recycled, food-grade plastic from curbside recycled PET, is unveiling its Green Bottle today. With help from the Lucas County, Ohio Commissioners, PTI is hoping to meet its next big challenge: encouraging citizens to recycle enough plastic to produce mass quantities of bottles. Together, the commissioners and PTI are planning a "get green" program to educate 9- to 13-year-old children and their parents about plastics recycling.
