Six Firms Competing to Build Atlanta Airport Composting Facility

Cash Development LLC, Randolph & Company LLC, Columbia Technology LLC, Green Energy & Development Inc., Multiplex LLC and Sun State Organics LLC are all competing for the chance to develop and operate a composting and recycling facility at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

It’s the facility’s fourth attempt at such an effort.

Composting is just one service that airports offer as part of their massive waste and recycling management efforts.

Last year, only three firms submitted proposals to compete for the Green Acres — Randolph & Company, Green Energy & Development and Sun State Organics. That contracting process was canceled by the city because officials said all three firms filled out firms incorrectly and were disqualified. A previous round yielded no qualified responses, and an earlier attempt was canceled to revise the requirements.
