Sioux City, Iowa, Curbside Glass Recycling to End in November

After several employees were injured by glass and conveyer belts were damaged, curbside glass recycling in Sioux City, Iowa, will come to an end in November.

Starting in December, the city will begin collecting glass recycling at designated drop-off locations.

At the end of November, Sioux City residents will no longer be able to include glass as part of their curbside recycling.

According to an environmental services analyst, pending approval of contracts from city council, the transition is expected at the end of next month.
