JP Mascaro & Sons Lands $127M Contract

Recently area waste service company J. P. Mascaro & Sons was awarded a five-year, $127 million contract by a local New Jersey Utilities Authority, to transfer, transport and dispose of all waste generated in Morris County, N.J., which is in the area of 380,000 tons per year.

The contract for that county, which has a population of about 800,000 people, is one of the largest waste contracts in the metropolitan New York/New Jersey region. Mascaro’s bid of $127 million for five years bested the $132 million bid of industry giant Waste Management.
