NWRA Adds New VP to Government Relations Team
For the last decade, Chris Greissing the government affairs team at the Industrial Minerals Association.
The National Waste and Recycling Association has hired veteran lobbyist Chris Greissing as vice president, federal relations.
Like NWRA President and CEO Darrell K. Smith, Greissing comes to NWRA from the mining industry. For the last decade, he led the government affairs team at the Industrial Minerals Association as the vice president, government affairs. Prior to that he represented about a dozen biotech and pharma companies on issues before the federal government.
Smith previously was the executive vice president of the same association before coming over to NWRA.
“Chris is well known in the halls of Congress and in the halls of federal agencies,” Smith said in a statement. “I am glad that he is joining the team at NWRA. Chris will be a strong advocate for the waste and recycling industry.”
"I am excited for the opportunity to join the team at NWRA. I am looking forward to helping our members establish and build relationships with government officials at the federal level," Greissing said in a statement.
Greissing received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego. Chris lives in Reston, Va., with his wife and three daughters.
