Conyers, Ga.-based Pratt Industries has opened a paper mill in Shreveport, La., that will produce 360,000 tons of 100 percent recycled containerboard a year. Pratt’s new materials recovery facility is adjacent to the paper mill.

Between the Shreveport paper mill and similar facilities in New York and Conyers, Pratt’s paper mills recycle approximately 1 million tons of paper a year. Pratt estimates that recycling that amount of paper prevents 1.2 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions and saves 13 million trees.
