Washington, Ill., Re-ups with Waste Management

The city has a new five-year contract with one of the major players in its cleanup from the Nov. 17, 2013, tornado.
The City Council last week approved a contract with Waste Management for curbside residential garbage pickup and recycling services at about 5,200 homes that begins April 1 and continues until March 31, 2020.
A five-year contract with Waste Management expires March 31.
