Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has expanded its presence in Alabama with the acquisition of Lowndes Garbage Service LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal acquired two residential contracts in the Montgomery area, in Mosses and Hayneville, the latter where Lowndes is based. Together the contracts serve about 700 residences.

“Advanced Disposal is looking to grow our operations in the Montgomery marketplace, and Lowndes Garbage Service provided us with the opportunity to strengthen the density and efficiencies of our residential collection operations,” said Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal regional vice president, in a news release.

Lowndes has provided residential collection to Mosses and Hayneville for 10 years.
