Wicomico County, Md., Recycling Stations Install Security Cameras to Combat Illegal Dumping

In an attempt to combat illegal dumping, recycling stations in Wicomico County, Md., have installed security cameras and additional overhead lighting.

The recycling station on Foskey Lane was the first recycling station to install the cameras. And since installing the cameras a few months ago, county officials have seen a huge difference in illegal dumping.

Recycling stations in Wicomico County are getting security cameras to keep people from illegally dumping.

Wicomico County is in the process of installing security cameras at each of their recycling stations, starting in Delmar.

People said they have seen televisions, couches and mattresses laying around at some of these recycling stations. That's why the county has decided to take action.
