Waste management and software technology firm AMCS Group has secured $32 million in financing to expand in the United States, Canada and Europe.

The Limerick, Ireland-based company, with U.S. operations headquartered in Howell, Mich., plans to double its staff in three years and increase its U.S. workforce by 30-40 people in the short term, the company said in a news release.

AMCS provides its end-to-end integrated Elemos software solutions for the waste, recycling and environmental sectors.

The financing was led by global venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners (HCP) Europe, including support from existing investor, Investec Ventures.

“Securing funding of this scale underpins our commitment to grow in new and existing markets,” said Jimmy Martin, CEO of AMCS.
