Orange County, N.C., Affected by China’s Recycling Ban

In Orange County, N.C., residents and businesses are making the effort to recycle. But with China’s recycling ban quickly approaching, this good deed will become a big problem for the county. The biggest challenge the county will face is rigid plastic because China will soon no longer accept it and there’s nowhere to sell the material to domestically.

Vendors can create products from recyclables, especially mixed paper or plastics which can be used to make packaging.
