Eugene, Oregon’s BRING Recycling has produced a line of sustainable gift options featuring products created from donated reclaimed materials.

BRING, a nonprofit organization, launched a new product department in 2021 that worked to create high-quality home and garden décor, jewelry, and other items from upcycled materials donated to the organization.

"BRING has always been a great place to find special, reusable treasures, but now we take it a step further by offering unique, upcycled products that can add a touch of character, function, and sustainability to your holiday celebrations," says Emily Reynolds, BRING’s director of education and outreach.

The workshop has taken in items such as a broken and unrideable skateboard and turned them into items such as earrings, tap handles, drink coasters, and serving platters.

“We're excited to bring a new dimension to holiday shopping by offering BRING-made items, including salmon wall hangings with an intricate Pacific Northwest scene, garden trellises, unique shelving, and more, all crafted from reclaimed materials,” said Adrian Stevens, product development coordinator. “Each product tells a unique story of transformation," adds Adrian Stevens, product development coordinator.”
