Prospective Operators Piling Up to Handle Medina County, Ohio, Recycling

Four companies have applied to operate a countywide recycling drop-off program, with more entities planning on submitting requests for bids before the April 27 deadline.

Waste Management, Kimble Companies, Rumpke Waste & Recycling Services and Republic Services all have submitted bids to the county.

At Monday night’s Medina City Council Finance Committee meeting, members passed an ordinance with an emergency clause allowing Service Director Nino Piccoli to work jointly with Wadsworth’s Service Director Chris Easton to develop a bid.
