Residents in Chesterfield County, VA will be able to drop off their recycling at new recycling centers in area parks.

The seven new recycling centers can be found at several parks around the county and will be open from dawn to dusk.

The recycling containers will be single-stream containers, meaning residents will not need to separate materials before recycling. A privately owned material recovery facility will process all recyclables collected by the containers.

“I am excited about the opening of the seven Community Recycling Centers in the county,” said Director of General Services John Neal. “This is a great opportunity to provide our community with additional recycling options. The centers are another tool to help with keeping recyclable materials out of the landfills.”

Along with the new recycling centers, residents in the county can utilize the northern and southern convenience centers or sign up to have their recycling collected by a third-party vendor. WM, Choice, GFL, and TFC Recycling all serve the area and offer pickup services.
