Mr. Trash Wheel Expands to Port Covington and Masonville Cove, Md.
The Port Covington wheel will be installed by the end of this year, and the Masonville Cove wheel will be installed by February 2018.

In 2015, the City of Baltimore launched a waste water wheel named Mr. Trash Wheel into the Inner Harbor to help clean up waste from the harbor. Shortly after that in 2016, the city unveiled a second waste water wheel named Professor Trash Wheel, which is smaller than the original waste water wheel and operates more quickly because it’s collecting small pieces of trash.
Now, the Maryland Port Administration is launching two more trash wheels that will be installed at Port Covington and Masonville Cove in Maryland. The Port Covington wheel will be installed by the end of this year, and the Masonville Cove wheel will be installed by February 2018.

The Maryland Port Administration's $450,000 wheel will be built at Masonville Cove adjacent to the dredged materials placement site located along the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River near Brooklyn. Expanding the family of the wildly popular Mr. Trash Wheel that debuted in 2014 at Jones Falls.
