Area Disposal Buys Illinois Waste Roll-Off Firm Captain Hook

Area Disposal Service Inc. has purchased Captain Hook Inc., an Illinois waste roll-off container business, for an undisclosed amount.

Captain Hook is based in Peoria and serves that area and other central Illinois regions, Peoria-based Area Disposal said in a news release.

Captain Hook provides roll-off containers for construction, remodeling, roofing and recycling customers.

“This acquisition aligns well with our growth and strategic initiatives for expansion of our service offerings, expanding our market segmentation with this line of business,” said Matt Coulter, Area Disposal vice president. “We are very pleased to acquire this great family owned operation, to be blended with our Wigand Disposal operation located in Chillicothe, Ill.”
