Stericycle's earnings in their highly profitable Steri-Safe program may be hurt in the future with the introduction of the Compliance Publishing Corporation (private held) OSHA compliance program in May, 2012. This program is the first serious threat to the Steri-Safe program since MedServ (purchased by Stericycle in 2009), and has been adopted by many of Stericycle's strongest competitors. This program could remove as much as $40 million in annual revenue by 2014 with downward pricing pressure.
