Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has purchased Matchbox Disposal Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

The Ponte Vedra, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal said in a news release that the acquisition of the Mattoon, Ill.-based Matchbox further expands the company’s footprint in central Illinois. It marks the company’s fifth acquisition in the Midwest region in 2013 and 13th overall for the year so far.

The acquisition includes four roll-off routes in Mattoon, which now will be served by Advanced Disposal’s Charleston and Decatur hauling locations. The company will dispose of solid waste materials at Valley View Landfill.

“We’re very excited about the addition of the Matchbox Disposal customers and assets further increasing route density in our central Illinois market,” said Jay Rooney, Advanced Disposal regional vice president.
