Area Disposal Service Inc. has acquired two waste hauling businesses in Hannibal, Mo.

The Peoria, Ill.-based Area Disposal purchased Campbell Disposal Services Inc. and Right Way Disposal Inc., according to a news release.

Both Campbell Disposal and Right Way Disposal provide residential and commercial collection for Hannibal as well as rural Marion and Ralls counties.

Campbell was owned and operated by Calvin and Sherry Campbell and their son, Brent. The family business started 77 years ago.

Right Way Disposal was owned and operated by Tony and Mary Jo Green, and started more than 25 years ago.

The acquisitions help “keep us on track with our growth and strategic initiatives for our expansion into Missouri,” said Matt Coulter, Area Disposal vice president.

Area will blend in both acquisitions with its operation in Pittsfield, Ill.
