Pella, Iowa-based Vermeer Corp., a manufacturer of grinders and chippers, has acquired the remaining ownership interest in Wildcat Mfg. Co., a Freeman, S.D.-based manufacturer of trommel screens and compost turners.

In 2007, Vermeer purchased an initial ownership stake in Wildcat and broadened its product distribution through the Wildcat dealer networks. “We believe that the market for Wildcat products is positioned for solid growth over the next several years, and we are excited about the opportunities that exist,” said Mike Byram, senior director of environmental solutions for Vermeer, in a press release.

The Wildcat brand name will remain in use, and the Wildcat manufacturing, sales and support staff will remain in Freeman, S.D.
