Veolia Acquires Waste Management Landfill

Veolia ES Solid Waste Inc., Lombard, Ill., has acquired the landfill and hauling operations of Waste Management’s subsidiary near Summer, Ill.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Veolia has renamed the Lawrence County Landfill to the Veolia ES Summer Landfill. Veolia also gains 20,000 residential, commercial and roll-off customers in Illinois and Indiana.
