Waste Connections, Folsom, Calif., has acquired U.S. Waste Industries operations in Colorado that include four collection operations, three transfer stations and two landfills. The operations primarily serve the Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Cannon City markets with an approximate annual revenue of $30 million.

“The combination of vertically integrated operations and strong market shares provided us a strategic platform to seek additional growth opportunities in those markets,” said Richard Mittelstaedt, chairman and CEO of Waste Connections, in a press release.
