U.S. Solid Waste Market to Grow 3.4 Percent Annually -- Study

The solid waste management market in the United States will grow 3.4 percent annually through 2015, according to a new study.

The report by TechNavio, the research arm of the London-based Infiniti Research Ltd., concluded that one of the key factors contributing to this growth is a need to eliminate solid waste from landfills. The market also is experiencing an increase

in mergers and acquisitions, according to a news release.

However, increasing costs could challenge the growth of the market.
The report forecast the 3.4 percent compound annual growth rate during the period 2011 to 2015.

The TechNavio report also covers the solid waste management market landscape, its growth prospects for the coming years and the key vendors in the market.
