US Ecology Unifies Brand, Including EQ Purchase
US Ecology Inc. is unifying all company operations under a redesigned brand, including the waste and recycling firm EQ – The Environmental Quality Company, which it bought last April.
Boise, Idaho-based US Ecology said in a news release the new branding aims to convey its position in the marketplace “as a premier provider of environmental solutions to customers across North America.” It said one central brand will strengthen its ability to provide turnkey environmental and other services through a nationwide network of assets.
“I am excited to launch our new branding, which unifies US Ecology and EQ as a single integrated company,” says Jeff Feeler, US Ecology president and CEO. “This new look has been developed from our core values of protecting human health and the environment while providing our customers ‘Unequaled service. Solutions you can trust’ (The company’s slogan).”
US Ecology bought Wayne, Mich.-based EQ last spring for a deal valued at $465 million. EQ provides a range of waste and recycling services, including treatment and disposal of hazardous wastes, recycling, field and industrial services and total waste management. EQ operates one hazardous waste permitted landfill located outside of Detroit, 13 waste treatment and recycling facilities and 21 dedicated service centers throughout the eastern United States.
EQ generated pro forma revenue of about $376 million in 2013 and ranked No. 14 on Waste360’s annual Top 100 list. The company employs more than 1,250 employees and serves more than 6,000 customers.
US Ecology provides treatment, disposal and recycling of hazardous and radioactive waste, as well as a wide range of complementary field and industrial services, to commercial and government customers.
