AgroFresh Solutions Inc., a global leader in AgTech innovation specializing in post-harvest produce freshness and quality solutions, announces the completion of its acquisition of Tessara. South African based Tessara is an industry-leading provider of intelligent packaging solutions for preserving fresh produce, specializing in SO2 generating sheets to prevent decay in table grapes, berries, and flowers. 

The acquisition of Tessara amplifies AgroFresh's capabilities in post-harvest produce freshness and food waste reduction with added solutions for key crop segments such as table grapes and berries, while significantly enhancing its presence across fruit growing regions including South Africa, China, Australia and South America.

Ascend Elements announced plans to move its corporate headquarters and research & development center from its current location in Westborough, Mass. to a 101,000 square foot facility at 39 Jackson Road in the Pathway Devens campus in Devens, Mass. The facility is owned and operated by King Street Properties in Boston.

Ascend Elements has experienced over 500% headcount growth in the last 18 months and currently employs approximately 350 team members globally, including 140 people in Massachusetts. The 31-mile relocation is planned for September 2024.

Heartland Water Technology, Inc.,a company that offers technology-enabled solutions and services that reduce, separate and convert a wide range of challenging waste streams, has completed construction of its new 30,000 square foot Robert E. Cawthorn Technology Center, just outside Nashville in the city of Murfreesboro, TN. The facility is named in honor of the Company's long-time investor and Board Chair.  

The new state-of-the-art Heartland Technology Center is being launched as part of the company's multi-million-dollar investment focused on developing and launching a holistic, distributed, climate-friendly solution for addressing its customers' most complex waste treatment, conversion and destruction challenges. With the opening of the new facility Heartland now employs more than 20 engineers and professionals supporting the growing technology sector in Middle Tennessee.
