Perma-Fix’s Income, Net Revenue Rise in First Quarter

Atlanta-based Perma-Fix Environmental Services posted a net income of $638,000 on $26 million in revenue during first-quarter 2010. During the first three months of 2009, the firm posted a net income of $548,000 on $22 million in revenue.

"Perma-Fix has established a unique position within the nuclear waste treatment and nuclear services market due to our technologies, our track record and our permits,” said Louis F. Centofanti, chairman and CEO of Perma-Fix, in a press release. "In the first quarter of 2010, our seasonally weakest period, revenue increased 18 percent and operating income increased by more than 97 percent compared to the first quarter of 2009.”
