Area Disposal Buys Illinois Waste Hauler Casali and Sons

Area Disposal Service Inc. has purchased Casali and Sons Disposal, a residential and commercial hauler based in Bloomington, Ill., for an undisclosed amount.

Peoria, Ill.-based Area Disposal said the move increases its presence in the region. “This acquisition further expands our environmental services to residential and commercial customers in the Bloomington and Normal area,” said Matt Coulter, vice president of sales for Area Disposal, in a news release. “This is a strategic acquisition further demonstrating our commitment to growth in the refuse and recycling industry.”

Kelly and Andy Casali owned and operated Casali and Sons Disposal, and the company maintained a strong reputation for service in the solid waste industry.

Area Disposal will manage the Casali routes and customers from its Area operation in Clinton, Ill.

In March Area Disposal acquired Captain Hook Inc., an Illinois waste roll-off container business. Captain Hook is based in Peoria and serves that area and other central Illinois regions. It provides roll-off containers for construction, remodeling, roofing and recycling customers.

Area is a sister company of PDC Services Inc. PDC purchased Melton Trucking Service, based in Groveland, Ill. Melton Trucking provides commercial frontload container service in Illinois for the city of Peoria and Tazewell County. It also provides container services for commercial businesses and recycling customers.
