USB Recycling, a unit of a large e-waste recycling company based in Tianjin, China, is turning a 23,000-square-foot former shirt factory in Anson County, N.C., into a new $500,000 e-waste recycling facility, which will reclaim old computers, cell phones, television and other e-waste items.
USB will employ 15 workers when it opens, and the number of employees is expected to grow to 45 within three years.

A Chinese electronic waste recycler has bought a former Anson County shirt factory with plans to bring a 45-employee company there to reclaim old computers, mobile telephone, televisions and other e-waste.
It’s like a cut-and-sew apparel operation being turned into a 21st-century recycling operation.
