Electronic Recycling Program Suspended in York County

Old televisions were loaded onto trucks at the York County Solid Waste Authority Tuesday and were ready to be shipped out for recycling.

On Tuesday, the authority announced it’s suspending its electronic recycling program.

“There are a couple issues,” Ellen O’Connor, a spokesperson for YCSWA, said. “One issue is electronic material, there is a huge glut of it on the market.”

O’Çonnor told ABC 27 News that Pennsylvania law isn’t helping.
