Naperville, Ill., Electronics Recycling Suspended Due to Stockpile

A Naperville electronics recycling program is a victim of its own success.

City officials say they’re suspending the program after Sept. 19 because they can’t afford to dispose of what’s become an “unmanageable stockpile.”

Naperville and DuPage County signed in an 18-month contract in January with New Life Electronics Recycling to properly dispose of electronics brought to the drop-off center.
