Raritan Twp., N.J., Considers Offering Electronics Recycling

Township Committeewoman Karen Gilbert would like to offer residents e-recycling. At the April 7 Township Committee meeting she said that the county offers eight hours of electronics-recycling a year and that is not enough.

The county is accepting electronic equipment on Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the county complex off Route 12.

"I'd like our township to consider pursuing our own electronics recycling at the DPW," she said. The township recycling center, which is only open to township residents, is on Pennsylvania Avenue.
