Garland, Texas, Surprises Toddler with Personal Look at Refuse Truck

The city and refuse hauler joined forces to make a 3-year-old’s dream come true.

The city of Garland, Texas, gave a 3-year-old fan of garbage trucks a “sizeable surprise” with an up-close-and-personal look at one of its municipal trucks.

After seeing a video of 3-year-old Oliver Sharp following a garbage truck into an alley, city of Garland staffers reached out to the boy's parents and invited the family to check out a city refuse truck. This story is the perfect example of a city and hauler coming together to make one little boy’s dream come true.
