The Bellevue, Neb., City Council recently awarded Papillion Sanitation with a 10-year contract, which will begin in May 2018. With the new contract, residents will be provided with 35-, 65- or 95-gallon carts for recycling, trash and yard waste.
While service costs have not been finalized yet, the program will run on a “pay as you throw” pricing structure, which proved successful in a pilot program that was recently tested in two neighborhoods.

Bellevue residents will have more flexibility in trash and recycling choices under a contract the City Council recently approved.
A 10-year contract was awarded to Papillion Sanitation that will expand citywide certain elements of a pilot program that was tested in two neighborhoods. The contract begins in May 2018.
Papillion Sanitation currently provides the city’s trash service, but residents will see a number of changes.
