Ingersoll-Rand Sells Bobcat, Utility Equipment and Attachments Business for $4.9 Billion

Ingersoll-Rand Company Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, has announced the sale of its Bobcat, Utility Equipment and Attachments business units to Doosan Infracore, Suwanee, Ga., for approximately $4.9 billion. The sale is expected to close early in the 2007 fourth quarter.

“The sale of Bobcat, Utility Equipment and Attachments represents the last major action to transform our business portfolio to reposition Ingersoll-Rand as a diversified industrial company,” said Herbert Henkel, president and CEO of Ingersoll-Rand, in a press release.
