Last year, residents of Lee's Summit and Raymore, Mo. were notified about a potential landfill site near their homes.
After finding out about the 960-acre plan, they brought their concerns to Raymore officials. Since then, Lee's Summit and other municipalities have announced resolutions against any plans.
However, there has been no formal application filed to date. Additional public meetings have been scheduled.
