WM Applies to Expand Grand Central Landfill After Being Denied in 2020

WM is seeking to expand the Grand Central Landfill in Plainfield Township, Penn. four years after its initial request was denied.

WM is seeking to expand the Grand Central Landfill in Plainfield Township, Penn. four years after its initial request was denied.

WM’s first request was filed in 2020, which would see the landfill expand its operations onto adjacent property. Now, WM has applied for a zoning map amendment and two text amendments to the zoning ordinance.

According to Adrienne Fors, a WM representative, the current landfill has roughly four more years of permitted operating space available.

The Plainfield Township Board of Supervisors is discussing the request this week with a vote to come sometime later.
