The U.S. Composting Council has named Agromin, Ventura, Calif., its Composter of the Year. Agromin recycles green materials from more than 90 communities in Southern California. Last year, the company recycled more than 300,000 tons of green materials.

"Everyone who disposes materials in their green recycling barrel each week is doing their part to close the recycling loop," said Bill Camarillo, CEO of Agromin, in a press release. "Recycling is the one thing we can all do that's been proven to reduce waste and make our communities more sustainable."
