Boulder County, Colo., Announces Zero Waste Program

Boulder County, Colo., has launched a zero waste pilot program that combines new purchasing methods, reuse, recycling and composting to divert waste from landfills. The county’s program was launched in its four downtown buildings, and it is a step toward its goal of a 50 percent diversion rate by 2010 and zero waste by 2025.
