Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Choice Environmental Services has unveiled a 10-truck fleet of vehicles fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG). The CNG trucks will reduce emissions by 25 percent compared to diesel-fueled trucks, the company says.
Choice says that it is the first private waste hauler in south Florida to convert a portion of its fleet to natural gas-fueled vehicles.
The CNG trucks feature Autocar chassis and E-Pack Manufacturing’s Hercules Automated Side-Loading bodies. The trucks will refuel at a fueling station located in Pompano Beach, Fla. The station was built and is operated by Clean Energy Fuels.
