EIA Women’s Council Announces Scholarship Winners

The Environmental Industry Associations (EIA) Women’s Council has awarded four $2,500 scholarships for the 2010-11 academic year. Students must be pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies that will aid a career in the environmental industry.

The students are:

• Lindsay Foster-Drago of Portland, Ore. Foster-Drago is an employee of Keith Manufacturing who is completing an MBA at Marylhurst University.

• Anna Oleksiewicz of Urbana-Champaign, Ill. The daughter of a Navistar engineer, Oleksiewicz is a high-school senior who will attend the University of Illinois this fall to study electrical engineering.

• Jack Stern of Los Angeles. A civil engineer major at the University of Southern California, Stern is the son of a Waste Management communications major.

• Kristin Van Kampen of Grand Rapids, Mich. The daughter of a Republic Services employee, Van Kampen is studying biology and environmental studies at Calvin College in Michigan.
