EREF Accepting Scholarship Applications for 2011-2012 Academic Year

The Raleigh, N.C.-based Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) is accepting scholarship applications for 2011-2012 academic year. According to EREF, the scholarships will be awarded to students who “will be or are now a full-time master’s student, doctoral student or post-doctoral researcher” and who have a “clearly demonstrated interest in solid waste management research.”

The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, June 1.

Scholarships are awarded based on an applicant’s academic history, work experience and the “relevance of one’s work to the advancement of solid waste management science,” EREF says. Doctoral and post-doctoral students can be awarded a maximum of $12,000 per year, master’s students a maximum of $5,000 per year.
