Sustainable Energy Solutions to Build LFGTE Project in Georgia

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Sustainable Energy Solutions LLC has begun construction of a landfill gas-to-energy (LFGTE) facility at the Wolf Creek Landfill in Dry Branch, Ga. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal owns the landfill.

The 2.8-megawatt, $4.5 million LFGTE facility is slated to begin operations this fall and will produce enough electricity to power approximately 1,650 homes, according to Sustainable Energy Solutions. The environmental benefits of the Wolf Creek LFGTE facility will be the equivalent of removing 22,700 vehicles from the roads, the firm also says.
