T. Boone Pickens, the founder of Mesa Petroleum, BP Capital and Clean Energy Fuels Corp., will make the keynote address at this year’s WasteExpo in Dallas, which will be held at the Dallas Convention Center from May 9-12.

Pickens’ speech is titled “Solving Our Costly and Dangerous Dependence on OPEC Oil” and will be free to all WasteExpo badged participants. “WasteExpo is grateful that leaders in the solid waste and recycling industry have come together to make this keynote address possible and enable our participants to have this additional level of knowledge,” said Rita Ugianskis, managing director of Penton’s Waste Industry Group. “Mr. Boone’s remarks on this important topic are sure to be of extreme interest and relevance to our attendees.”
