Jim Hart, a retired New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) employee, has turned his experiences into a book of poetry and a mystery novel, which include a collection of narrative works like the human experience and veterans returning from war.
Hart joined DSNY in 1974 and worked his way up to deputy director of public affairs and director of correspondence for the Sanitation Police before retiring in 2004.
