Republic Services and Waste Management, two of the industry’s leading companies, are competing for a 10-year contract with Snohomish County, Wash. Republic is the county’s current hauler, and its contract is set to expire in May 2018.
The City Council and an evaluation team are reviewing both companies bids and could announce their decision at an upcoming public works committee meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, July 18.
