Rob Hilton Named President of HF&H Consultants
The current vice president assumed leadership of the consulting firm on January 1.
HF&H Consultants, the California-based environmental consulting firm, has named Rob Hilton as its new president. Hilton served as the firm’s vice president for 15 years, and succeeds Bob Hilton, who helped found the firm in 1989. Bob will retire in March of 2018.
Rob Hilton has worked with dozens of local communities during his time with HF&H, assisting with the negotiation of solid waste collection, processing and/or disposal contracts as well as helping to develop high diversion or zero waste goals.
“We’re all extremely grateful to Bob for his leadership, dedication and vision in steering HF&H since 1989,” Rob Hilton said in a statement. “I am very excited about the opportunities in front of us. The communities we serve in California and around the country are facing some of the most dynamic regulatory and market conditions since HF&H was founded. We have assembled an amazing team of professionals, and I am continually inspired by the great work everyone at HF&H does to serve our clients exceptionally, especially in times of rapid change.”
In addition to his work at HF&H, Rob Hilton has also served as the president of the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) from 2014-2017.
“We want to be certain HF&H clients and service partners can count on us for years to come. After watching many professional services firms struggle with succession planning, we knew we needed a generational transition that was thoughtful and strategic,” said Bob Hilton in a statement. “Like all our partners, Rob has a demonstrated passion for helping cities and counties with environmentally, economically and socially responsible resource planning and management. His leadership promises to bring out the best in our team, so we can continue to deliver exceptional service and evolve for a sustainable future of our own.”
