Medical Waste Firm Stericycle Nets Higher Results in Quarter

Medical waste company Stericycle Inc. posted higher earnings and revenue for its first quarter.

The Lake Forest, Ill.-based Stericycle said for the period ended March 31 that net income advanced 6.1 percent to $79.8 million, or 91 cents per share, compared with $75.2 million, or 85 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue climbed 10.9 percent to $570 million from $513.8 million, according to a news release.
