Call2Recycle, 1800Recycling.com Partner to Enhance Battery Recycling

1800Recycling.com is partnering with Call2Recycle Inc. to increase public awareness and access to battery collection sites for recycling.

1800Recycling.com, a unit of Fresno, Calif.-based Electronic Recyclers International Inc. (ERI) that provides website information about recycling, in part will work with Call2Recycle to enhance the current battery recycling portion of the 1800Recycling system, according to a news release. That will include the integration of Atlanta-based Call2Recycle’s U.S. public battery collection network.

 Since 1996, Call2Recycle has diverted more than 85 million pounds of batteries and cellphones from the solid waste stream and established more than 34,000 collection sites throughout the U.S. and Canada.
