The Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency is continuing discussion about the possibility of single-stream recycling as well as any repercussions for the community.
At the last several meetings, the CCASWA has discussed the possibility of going to single-stream recycling. CCASWA board member Trevor Willis wanted to know where everyone on the board stood on the issue and also questioned whether the implementation of single-stream recycling could lead to a loss of revenue.
CCASWA Operations Manager Brad Seward admitted the agency would be “taking a pretty big gamble” for the facility, while also wondering whether the agency would have to lay off employees if it were to go to single-stream recycling.
